There are two categories for the coins carved with Chinese character福(Fu): one is the currency in circulation, and the other is “flower money” as blessing coin, Exorcism Numismatics, fortune coin, and etc. which is not the currency in circulation.

Till now, the earliest coin carved with Chinese character 福 discovered in China was “天福元宝” cooper coin manufactured in the third year of Tianfu period of the Later Jin Dynasty ( 938AD). It was over 1000years old.
